The Community Foundation has over 600 existing funds and grantmaking initiatives. We invite your support of these funds and programs.

Your support of our "Founders Unrestricted Fund" is of critical importance in providing the flexibility needed to serve our community in ever-changing times. This fund provides the resources that allow the Community Foundation to not only respond to current needs, but to invest in promising efforts to improve our region.

You may also wish to support one of our initiatives. The Community Foundation develops initiatives and special grant programs focused on specific charitable needs and opportunities. Often, you can help us receive additional benefits - including matching funds and further leverage. Please consider supporting the following:

  • GreenWays Initiative - a multiyear program that is helping to build trails and pathways that connect people and communities throughout our region. Every $1 an individual gifts into this program leverages another $25 for our community in governmental and other funding
  • The HOPE Fund - a program that strengthens organizations that provide services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community
  • Field-of-Interest Funds - we have several funds that provide flexible support in targeted areas such as art and culture, the environment and other areas. Please contact us to learn more about these opportunities.
  • Access to Recreation- a program that supports the concept that recreational opportunities should be available for people of all abilities.

Finally, you may wish to support one of the designated funds that benefit a particular nonprofit organization building its endowment with the Community Foundation. You can review all of the existing funds at the Community Foundation by perusing our most recent Yearbook (Download Adobe PDF Document).
